Accessibility Statement

1. Standard and scope

Guesto commits to conforming with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA across the entire user-facing surface of the platform. The standard is enforced by the design system, by automated axe checks in the CI pipeline, and by manual review against the applicable success criteria before every release. The relevant European harmonised standard is EN 301 549 v3.2.1, which incorporates WCAG 2.1 AA by reference; the Guesto conformance target is therefore aligned with the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) as it is transposed into the Member State law applicable at the seat of the operator.

2. Conformance status by surface

  • Public menu (/r/[slug] and /r/[slug]/[locale]): semantic markup, <html lang> set per locale, no JavaScript required, allergen and dietary information carried in text (never by colour alone), touch targets ≥ 44 × 44 px, focus indicators visible at 3:1 contrast against the background. Public pages are the surface a restaurant guest sees and are the strictest of the conformance targets — they are held to WCAG 2.1 AA with no known exceptions at the time of writing.
  • Dashboard (/, /menus, /settings, /billing): targeting WCAG 2.1 AA. Automated axe checks land in CI with the P1-25 task; manual review of the editor covers keyboard navigation, screen-reader labels on custom inputs, and the drag-and-drop reorder handles which fall back to keyboard-only reorder buttons.
  • Marketing site and legal pages (this document): WCAG 2.1 AA; verified by axe on every merge to main.

3. Known limitations

The following are known partial conformances at the date of this statement. Placeholder — counsel and the accessibility auditor confirm this list before release:

  • The QR-code image on the print sheet is decorative and marked with an empty alt; the human-readable venue slug is printed below it as the accessible alternative.
  • The colour-picker in the branding editor exposes contrast information but does not yet offer an accessible-name suggestion — noted as a follow-up (P1-24).
  • Localised menu content is only as accessible as the source content the tenant provides; a tenant that writes in ALL CAPS or hides ingredients in image-only fields can produce a page that will fail on its content even though the surrounding shell is compliant.

4. Assistive technology tested against

Placeholder — the accessibility auditor confirms the exact combination before release. The target combinations for the initial audit are: VoiceOver on iOS Safari, TalkBack on Android Chrome, NVDA on Firefox and Chrome on Windows, and VoiceOver on macOS Safari.

5. Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared using the self-evaluation method described in Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/1523 for public-sector bodies and adapted to the private context of Guesto. The statement is reviewed at least once per year and re-issued whenever a material change to the user interface would affect the conformance status.

6. Feedback and contact procedure

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on any Guesto page, please write to accessibility@elvoria.local (placeholder — counsel replaces with the monitored inbox at release) with (a) the URL where the barrier occurred, (b) the assistive technology and browser you were using, and (c) a short description of what you expected and what actually happened. We aim to acknowledge feedback within two business days and to propose a resolution or an accessible alternative within 15 working days.

7. Enforcement procedure

If you are dissatisfied with the response to your feedback, you may lodge a complaint with the competent enforcement body. Placeholder — counsel names the competent Schlichtungsstelle nach dem Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz (BGG) or the relevant Member State body applicable at Guesto's seat, and confirms the address and complaint form URL.

8. Review cadence

This statement is next scheduled for review no later than 12 months from the lastUpdated date above. A scheduled review is performed sooner if a material change to the platform (a redesign, a new locale, a new interactive surface) affects the accessibility conformance status.
